Background

The Aerthonnta service was provided by Cogar until 2014. In conjunction with Comhdháil Náisiúnta na Gaeilge and with support from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Raidió na Life agreed to relaunch the service as a digital platform for news stories and as an information resource for those broadcasting in Irish across the country. 

An tOireachtas commenced operation of the service on St Patrick’s Day 2020.
